Web Media Development and Project  Management

Druid Media has successfully project managed the development and and launch of several dozen online media appplications, including projects that spanned multiple continents and time zones, and involved more than 100 participants.

 

Druid has also produced multiple live events, including conferences, screenings and live video.



And they all launched on-time, and on-budget.

§  Project managed a live event for a
literacy non-profit.  Developed marketing strategy, booked the talent, orchestrated the live recording, worked with a team to find sponsors and fundraise for the event.

§ Project managed the development of a new corporate website.  Researched competitive sites, assessed current marcomm strategies and employed Google Analytics to analyze impact of current website.  Created new branding initiatives for the website and social media and integrated those initiatives with other marcomm materials.  Worked with graphic design team to create new look for the website and wrote all of the copy for the new site, collaborating with other marcomm team members to roll out messaging across multiple platforms.  Developed Scope of Work for CMS teams and worked with internal IT to develop backend for site.  

§  Developed and project managed launch of a new, video-intensive website for a company’s flagship product in less than eight weeks.  Project managed the IT and design, interviewed and hired crew for the shoots, produced the videos and wrote all of the copy for the website—and launched on-time.  The resulting website helped generate stories about the new product in the national trade press, increased the number of partner-Agents who signed on with the company and helped drive sales for the new product.

§  The Bit Screen. Created and launched an online content application for an emerging technology.  Managed the design and implementation of the front-end website, worked with IT to develop the back-end hosting and developed stable of freelance content creators.  Developed marketing and PR strategy that successfully placed stories about the new application in major international news media, including The New York Times, NPR, The London Financial Times, Le Monde and Der Spiegel.

§  Descent: A Game-Film on the Internet2. Project managed a sixteen month collaborative videogame project, involving 100+ people in six universities around the world, using the Internet 2, new Apple servers and the Access Grid.  Developed the videogame narrative, supervised the software programmers, trademarked the intellectual property, found sponsors (including Apple and the Internet 2 Consortium) and organized the faculty and students’ schedules in multiple universities over the course of the semester long project.  Managed all PR and media outreach which resulted in positive media coverage in the Associated Press and several hundred media outlets around the world.  The project was later presented at CERN and SIGGRAPH.

§  The Dame Domain. Developed a website and blog for women, ages 35-65.  The blog, which ran from 2007-2010, was syndicated to Reuters and the Chicago Sun Times.  The blog was later edited and published as a book, The Home Fires Are Burning … My Feet!”
