There's a great scene in the movie Patton. George C. Scott as Patton is watching his forces take down Rommel's in a tank battle. Rommel, who wrote the book on tank warfare strategy. Over the roar of the tank fire Patton calls out to him, "Rommel you son of a bitch, I read your book!"
That's the kind of research we do as well. Because we believe effective strategic communications is built on knowledge, awareness and understanding.
The first thing we do with every new client is learn their business inside out. We look at products, services, messaging. We research how each client views him or herself through their marketing and PR. Then we take a look at how the outside world perceives them--what does the media say? The message boards? Their reps on social media? Once we know that, we can sit down and write.
